Before I start dishing out the recipe, this blog is courtesy my sister Sandhaya Mishra. She is a home maker with an awesome talent for cooking. Her specialty is definitely Indian food and of course Bihari food.
And for a lot of people like me who have very little idea on the same, I am helping her put together something.
First on the list is something called as "Dhuska", which is more Jharkand specialty. These are little batter fried poori like things, which can be had with Vegetable Gravy or taste even better with a Chicken or Mutton Gravy.
Here goes...
Ingredients:
Basmati Rice-250 gms
Chana Dal-250 gms
Urad Dal-50 gms
Edible oil for frying-250 gms (we prefer mustard
Cumin seeds- as desired
Salt as per taste
Method:
1)Soak the rice and pulses in water for 8hrs.
2)Grind the rice and pulses in a grinder to make a smooth paste.
3)Next stir in the Cumin seeds and Salt
4) Now spoon the batter in the hot oil and drain on a kitchen towel.
Dhuska, is ready to serve with chutney, achar or hot chicken gravy.
